Two communities in Clarksburg, WV have embarked on a new quest to change the look and feel of the area. Broadway and Monticello Avenue with the help from the Harrison County FRN and a grant from TryThisWV have come together to build raised bed gardens in each community. The Broadway Community is working with a local church and community members to build a community garden to provide food for community members and fresh food addition to the church's food pantry. MORE: Monticello's On-going Revitalization Effort is working to clean up the Avenue and change the surrounding communities perspective about the area. Community members want to change the area from a "drug avenue" to a community engaged with youth and each other. Much work is to be done! If you would like more information on how to become involved (donations, volunteer hours, planting a bed, etc.), please contact us at 304-423-5049 or by using the contact us on this site.
